A Thoughtful, Intentional Approach to Mental Health
At Pearl Beech Psychology, care is intentional, individualized, and grounded in both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the people we serve. We specialize in fertility, perinatal, and postpartum mental health, offering therapy for individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and life transitions with a level of care that is both deeply personal and clinically grounded.
Our approach is refined and evidence-based, integrating proven therapeutic methods with a nuanced understanding of high-achieving individuals and the complexity of modern life. Every aspect of the experience is designed to feel personalized, calm, and intentional.
Based in Bloomfield Hills and serving individuals and couples across Michigan, we offer both in-person and virtual sessions, creating a grounded, compassionate space for care that is tailored, insightful, and aligned with the level of support you’ve been looking for.
One of the reasons this work feels so meaningful is because of the seasons it centers around.
Pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood are often spoken about as milestones, but not always for the complexity they carry. The shift in identity, the pressure to show up in every role, the quiet expectation to manage it all while continuing to move forward. These are deeply human experiences, yet many individuals and couples move through them without the space or support to fully process what is changing.
Dr. Kristen Ghersi Hering built her work around creating a compassionate space where people can feel heard without judgment.
As a clinical psychologist, a working professional, and a mother, she understands the nuance of these transitions and the expectations that often come with them. Her focus is supporting individuals who are used to functioning at a high level, but who are navigating the internal shifts that can come with parenthood, relationships, and evolving roles.
Her clinical work centers on fertility, perinatal, and postpartum mental health, including postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, and the adjustment into new stages of life. She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and has spent nearly a decade working with individuals in both clinical and private practice settings.
While her work is grounded in evidence-based care, it is equally shaped by a belief that therapy should feel thoughtful, steady, and tailored to the person in front of her, not formulaic or one-size-fits-all.
Outside of her work, Dr. Hering enjoys time with her husband and their three daughters, staying active, and finding balance through travel, creativity, and everyday life.
My Approach
My work is grounded in a thoughtful, evidence-based approach that is tailored to each person I work with. Therapy is not meant to feel rigid or one-size-fits-all. Instead, it is collaborative, allowing space to better understand what you’re experiencing while also developing tools you can carry into your everyday life.
The goal is not just insight, but meaningful, lasting change that feels both manageable and sustainable.
Finding the Right Fit
This practice is designed for women who are seeking thoughtful, individualized care during times of transition. It may feel like the right fit if you are looking for more than surface-level support and are open to a deeper, more intentional therapeutic process.
The goal is to create a space where you feel both understood and supported, while also working toward meaningful, lasting change.
